At Brunskill Family Funerals we are here to help, and really care about what we do. We wanted to give you a clear idea of the costs involved with a funeral ceremony, to help you plan and prepare.
Brunskill Family Funerals can also provide a number of options for each package, detailed opposite. These are just a few of the more common additional services though we are willing to help with any request you may have.
Alternative coffins are also available for an additional cost.
The cost of funerals are typically separated into two types, the disbursements and the Funeral Director’s Charges (our packages and extras). The prices of our three funeral packages do not include disbursements.
In order for us to keep our overheads down and pass the savings onto you, we do require cleared funds one week prior to the funeral taking place. We will always provide written quotations, and confirm if any are subject to change. Payment can be made by either bank transfer, cash, DSS/DWP payments or debit card.
Direct funeral £899
- A dignified service with no attendance by friends or relatives. It is a ‘no fuss’ ceremony, sensitively carried out, allowing for the possibility of a separate service being held if desired on a later date, to commemorate or celebrate a life. Cremated remains can be returned to you within a 20-mile radius or collected directly from the crematorium.
Simple funeral £2095
- Attending to all the arrangements, our professional services and advice
Liaising with all third parties on your behalf
- Collection of the deceased into our care, dressing in own clothes if desired
- Provision of a simple coffin
- Inclusive of the Funeral Director and all aspects of the arrangements
- Hearse direct to crematorium, temple, or cemetery chapel and bearers to attend on the day of the funeral
- If embalming is required then an additional charge of £125 will be made
- A wide coffin choice available to suit your requirements (with surcharge)
Traditional or modern funeral £2595
- Liaising with all third parties on your behalf
- Collection of the deceased into our care, dressing in own clothes if desired
- Provision of an oak veneered coffin fully fitted and lined in satin
- Inclusive or the Funeral Director and all aspects of the arrangements.
- Hearse and one limousine to go to your chosen religious place of worship, a suitable venue for the funeral, or into the family home for up to one hour, and then proceed to the crematorium or cemetery graveside
- Bearers and all personnel to attend on the day of the funeral
- If embalming is required then an additional charge of £125 will be made
- A wide coffin choice available to suit your requirements (with surcharge)
Supplementary services
- Additional limousines at £300 per vehicle
- Out of hours collection fees may be applicable evenings, weekends and bank holidays £195
- Professionally printed order of service, in partnership with Careprint UK. Price on arrangement
- Scatter tubes £25
- Cremated remains caskets from £65
- Horse-drawn carriage ( a pair/team of black or white horses) from £1150
- Floral tributes vary depending on seasonal flowers
- Floral arrangement for a coffin from £50
- Silver Keepsake Memento Jewellery (Sterling Silver heart pendant and necklace with inscription) from £140
- Dove release, a pair of doves £125
- Wooden temporary grave-markers (cross or non-religious design) from £65
Disbursements
The three main disbursements are:
- Doctors’ fees for the cremation medical papers if applicable. £164.00
- Religious minister or funeral celebrant, approx. £250
- Crematorium or cemetery costs (purchase of grave and or the digging fee)
